What is Value Betting?

Value betting is described as a way to identify an edge against a gambling agency or players you are competing with. Bets that offer value are priced for less than they are worth. Successful bettors have a good understanding of the difference between how odds compare and a selection’s chances of happening. This gives a hint of a value bet.

Relationship between probability and odds

Probability is defined as the chances of an event happening with 0% as impossible and 100% as certain. Bookmakers use this percentage to define the odds of an event. Value betting represents itself in instances where the odds set by a bookmaker are not a true reflection of the actual outcome.

How to identify value bets

Value bets can be identified using different methods. The first one is by setting up your own odds. By finding your own odds, you can easily compare it to the bookmaker’s odds to find value bets. Also, remember to think probabilities rather than underdogs or favourites. Your aim is to identify the chances of an event happening more accurately compared to a bookmaker. Finding a value bet can sometimes be difficult, but you can get help at RebelBetting.

Texas Hold’em – The Fan Favourite

Blackjack is a favourite game among many players in online casinos, though there are many other games at players’ fingertips, which include games such as baccarat or Texas Hold’em poker.

Texas Hold’em is a variation of the well-known game of poker in which each player competes for a certain amount of chips or money in the “pot” and all players must contribute to this amount.

The game is divided into a series of deals, and at the end, the player with the best hand usually receives the full amount in the pot, unless it gets divided among players with a similarly high hand.

Playing Texas Hold’em starts with every player being dealt two face-down cards, which are called “hole cards”. Then a round of betting commences in which players must decide to check, bet or fold.

Next comes the “flop”, in which three shared cards are dealt in the middle of the table face-up and another betting round starts.

Once this round of betting is finished, a final shared “river” card will be turned over on the table before the final round of betting, after which the best hand wins.

One of the other popular ways to win the hand is by “bluffing”, meaning a player keeps on betting until every other player folds, even if they have a hand they couldn’t have won with. They may even have nothing at all and just chanced their luck.

Learning advanced techniques, such as mining in Texas Hold’em can really improve your chances of winning and overall gameplay.

Once you have familiarized yourself with the rules and how the game works, it is a lot of fun to play and just as much a favourite as Blackjack. It is a great game, whether you are a seasoned player or a beginner!

How to use a Poker Bonus successfully

There are so many casino sites online that it can be hard to choose which ones are good. One way of choosing is in the bonuses that are offered. These can come in a range of forms, and can actually help players get a little head start when playing in a casino.

Many bonuses come in the form of things such as free spins, which do not benefit poker players. Poker players need to find casinos that offer deposit bonuses, as these will actually help their game play more. There are two types of deposit bonus, the no deposit bonus and the match deposit bonus.

The first is less common but is much sought after. A no deposit bonus only requires that the player creates an account and signs up to the casino. The casino will then pay out a small cash bonus to the player that can then be used for playing. It should be noted by players that these bonuses do come with wagering requirements that need to be fulfilled before any money can be withdrawn from it. The plus side to this type of bonus is that players are free to play a wide range of poker games all at no cost to themselves. They are able to try games they may otherwise not have tried and can play them free from any concerns.

The match deposit is a much more common option. In this bonus the player is required to make an initial deposit, which the casino will then match. This can be as low as a 50% match to as much as a 200% so it is worth taking a look around to see what the options are. This bonus is excellent as it offers players the chance to double the amount of money they can play with allowing a greater range of gaming options. Again though, players just need to take note of the wagering requirements so as not to lose this bonus.

Poker Games: The different types

Poker is one of the simplest and fun games to play whether just for fun, or professionally for money. It is also one of the most common casino games we have today. Although quite thrilling, it might take some time to master the different categories that exist today. There are different types of poker games that exist, but we will only mention a few:

Texas Hold ‘em – This version is said to be the most common. The game requires two players and a dealer. The players will first have two cards which are referred to as the hole cards. The game then proceeds with betting where the players can choose to fold, bet or check.

Omaha High, or Omaha Hold ‘em – is the second most common poker game in the world because it closely resembles Texas Hold ‘em. It is famous especially amongst people who want more action and thrill, compared to Texas Hold ‘em. The only difference with this game is the fact that players hold four cards instead of two. The game is also managed by the dealer.
Omaha Hi/Lo – This game is a variant of Omaha Hold ‘em and is more complicated. The players need to have a high and a low hand, hence the name. This game can be quite confusing but it is still very thrilling.

Razz – This is another variant where the game is decided by the lowest hand ranking instead of the highest hand ranking. It is not as well known to players in the casino, but due to online casinos, its popularity is slowly catching up.

Seven Card Stud – This game is one of the favourite choices for the professional players who want some element of difficulty. The only difference is the fact that the player cards are open for the opponents to see. That is what makes it quite difficult.

What is a card worth in black jack?

In blackjack, also known as 21, players try to draw a hand of cards that is closer in value to 21 than the dealer’s hand is without going over. To score a hand of blackjack, you’ll need to know the values of the cards.

Number cards

Scoring number cards is simple — each card is worth as many points as the number of pips on it. A two is worth two points, a three is worth three points, and so on. The only exception to this rule is the ace. An ace can be worth either one point or eleven; the player gets to choose which. For instance, a player who had an ace and a six might choose to draw again, hoping for a four or lower; if he drew a five or higher he could treat the ace as worth one point in order to avoid exceeding 21 and going bust.

Face cards

Jacks, queens and kings are all worth ten points. If a player is lucky enough to draw a face card and an ace on her first draw, she has a natural or blackjack. In casinos, this usually means that she automatically wins half again the amount she originally bet.

Basic Blackjack Strategy: Single Deck

Blackjack is among the most popular casino games. It’s not overly complicated, it provides major thrills, and it can also lead to significant winnings if played right. Many rookies get drawn in by the straightforward premise – do not jump over 21 and outdo the dealer – and simply jump right in the middle of the action without any tactics in mind. If you are reading this, you are not one of them and congratulations are already in order.
